THANK YOU!

The Show Committee would like to thank everyone for their efforts in helping to organize and create our first annual “Bonanza”.

What a super ACTHA trail ride and Fun Show we had!  The weather was simply beautiful adding to the easy going, friendly atmosphere enjoyed by all.  Over 40 volunteers came together to prove how much fun we can have with our horses.

Congratulations on the production of a successful event!

We look forward to planning more venues that will show case different breeds while meeting new people from other regions who love to ride and allow their horses to do what they do best.  Please continue to watch this site for announcements of future events coming soon.

“The Bonanza” Is Almost Here!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at “The Bonanza” that starts this Friday!

It’s going to be a great time and will be great to see everyone again and meet new friends!

Please check the schedule of events and note that we have postponed the auction until a later date TBA. The rest of the schedule is intact and we know you’re going to enjoy the Dan James exhibitions (see below); the ACTHA rides and of course, the “Fun Horse show on Saturday and Sunday! Share this with everyone you know.

We hope safe travel for everyone and we will see you there!

Dan James Appearing At “THE BONANZA”

Dan James The Bonanza Flyer- Click Here To View Full SizeWe are pleased to announce that Dan James of “Double Dan Horsemanship”, will be attending our upcoming “THE BONANZA” event May 18-20, 2012. Click Here for schedule.

Dan was born in Queensland Australia where his parents managed a small cattle property. Dan first sat on a horse at 6 weeks old, which was to begin a lifelong passion for horses. Dans first few years were to be spent riding the family milking goat and it wasn’t until he was 10 yrs old that he got his first pony. He broke in his first horse at 14yrs of age exciting his hunger to understand and learn more about the ways and thinking patterns of the horse.

By 2008 Dan decided to leave the outback and find his audience – making his way south of WA performing and training at El Caballo Spanish horse centre. It was here he teamed up with Dan Steers and they developed an entertainment show to take on the road “Double Dan Horsemanship”

To date they have performed at every major show and rodeo in Australia and some overseas performances including: Perth royal show, Melbourne Royal show, Adelaide Royal show, Sydney Royal show, NCHA Futurieies, ASH National show, Edinburgh Military Tatoo, National Dressage Championships,Spirit of the Horse, ALEC Openning Ceremony, Equitana Asia Pacific, 2010 World Equestrain Games Kentucky, PBR Newcastle, and 2011 Australias Got Talent!

UMH WORLD SHOW DATES REVISED!

The 2012 United Mountain Horse World Grand Championships will be held August 29th, 30th, 31st, and September 1st.

After much consideration, the UMH Board is announcing the rescheduling of the 2012 UMH World Grand Championships. The Board set down with all available information from other organizations and considered many factors involved in putting together a successful show. In consideration of the well being of our exhibitors and their horses, a decision has been made to move this year’s World Show to the last week in August. The Board knows that there is no way to predict the weather, that there may be individuals with conflicts for any dates, and that there are many factors beyond our control. It is felt that the dates settled on will best serve the majority of the UMH members and horses.

Thank You!
